Stems from a shrub 6 feet tall, on wet sand on the margins of a small pond, about 1/2 mile west of Pacific Heights Road, Oroville Wildlife Area, about 4 miles (air) southwest of Oroville. Common. Flowers red-orange. Riparian Woodland (destroyed). Elevation 140 feet. Lowell Ahart 8660. 23 August 2000. Herbarium of California State University, Chico 04211578
