Normal size plants, on damp bare granite soil, below the high water line of French Meadows Reservoir, about 1/4 mile northeast of the boat or trail access area on the northwest side of the reservoir, about 3/4 mile southwest of the bridge across the Middle Fork of the American River, about 1 3/4 miles southwest of Ahart Camp, about 22 miles (air) northeast of Forest Hill.
