NNW of Vallegrande, along highway from Vallegrande to
Mataral, winding descent from the Vallegrande area into the
valley of Muyurina and El Trigal.
18°23’03”S, 64°08’40”W. alt. 1805 m.
Dry slopes with grazed shrubland with scattered large
Schinopsis marginata, Harrisia tetracantha and other
columnar cacti.
On unshaded roadside gravel. Decumbent at base, the
flowering stems erect. Flowers visited by a butterfly (2:10
P.M., sunny); Corolla light violet with yellow eye at first
this latter the same violet, then darker violet.
