United States of America. New York. Suffolk Co. Caumsett State Park, along old boardwalk on hook extending northwestward into Long Island Sound; on the southwestern side of the hook, adjacent to the salt marsh. Long Island.

Habitat
On a low sandy area 20 feet from a salt marsh. Frequented by a multitude of bees. With Opuntia humifusa, Toxicodendron radicans, Amelanchier canadensis, Solidago sempervirens, Juniperus virginiana, Morelia pennsylvanica, and Quercus stellata.

Description
Low, mounding shrubs to 6.5 ft. Petals pure white, anthers, golden yellow, filaments yellow at base, turning white. Abundant along the hook. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
