The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Cecropiaceae Cecropia polystachya Trecul det. M. Nee, 2015 Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. Florida, on road to Bella Vista, 17.2 km (by road) SE of junction with Santa Cruz- Samaipata highway. 18°17’20”S, 63°40,24”W. alt. 1320 m. Dry forest, narrow valley between massive red sandstone hills, with Casearia gossypiosperma. Tree 12 m. tall, 15 cm. in diameter; inhabited by stinging ants. Leaves whitened beneath.
