Sporadic and infrequent on savanna of red
S9&X Hills. Shrub forming a treelike
trunk up to about 20 cm thick when re-
peatedly lopped of its branches, as in the
cultivation patches of the natives*
A tea made from the roots is drunk by the
natives as a cure for rheumatism (fide Sr.
Martijn Perrahha of the Estacao Experimen-
tal do^Cafe, Cazenga, near Vila Salazar).
