Mixed conifer forest of subalpine fir, Douglas fir, lodgepole
pine,and aspen mixed with Artemisia tridentata ssp.
vaseyana and snowberry. Substrate sloping.
Leaf-tips straight, heads yellow, outer ligules much shorter
than involucral bracts.
