Notes: Cultivated in Tarahara Herbal Farm.
Locality: Field on north side of Tarahara Herbal Farm, Morang
District, Terai, Koshi Zone
Habitat: In undergrowth of mixed hardwood moist forest of Terai
Alt.: 200 m Geogr. Coord.: 27 40'N, 87 20'E
Local Names: "Chandmaruwa"
Med Uses: Used as a sedative and hypnotic
Used to reduce blood pressure
Used for painful affections of the bowels

Used to increase uterine contractions in labor
