    Moist mud heaves along shallow road cut. Grazed scrub of Artemisia cana, Chrysothamnus nauseosus, with mesic areas supporting Achillea millefolium, Senecio hydrophilus, Penstemon rydbergii, Lupinus lepidus, Trifolium longipes, Astragalus lemmonii, Muhlenbergia richardsonis, Juncus mexicanus. Abundant in disturbed muddy wheel ruts. Fine silty (somewhat alkaline) soil holding moisture late.
