PLANTS OF MEXICO Matelea prosthecidiscus Woodson State of Jalisco: Along Hwy 110 about 5.0 mi NE of Rio Tuxpan bridge and about 2.0 mi NE of Huizache. Steep limestone hills SE of Hwy; occasional, on top of hill, in red clay soil, twining vine with milky sap and a rank odor, woody and corky at the base, corolla reflexed, olive-green, within the corolla a red ring, a yellow ring and a long whitish- green tip.
