Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the point at 1000 m elevation (average of 900 m and 1100 m) along the Rio do Corvo (found approximately 25 km E of Curitiba), on the North slope of the Serra do Mar, and south of the old road to Morretes (PR-410), in Mun. Morretes, Parana. Using a fine-scale topographic map of the area (http://altamontanha.com/Aventura/3016/mae-catira--farinha-seca) located the course of the Rio do Corvo (unmarked in Google Maps). Using Google Maps - Terrain View & What's Here tool, found coordinates (final) for the point at 1000m elevation along the course of the Rio do Corvo. Using Google Maps - Measure Distance tool, estimated linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the furthest point along the Rio do Corvo between 900 and 1100 m elevation (-25.334160, -48.911677). Input linear extent (776.93 m), coordinate precision (0.00001 degrees), datum (WGS84), and measurement error (0.5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: Defined area).
