savanna or scrubby woodland; with Acrocomia aculeata,
Zanthoxylum rigidum, Celtis ehrenbergiana, Sapium
haematospermum, Rhamnidium elaeocarpum.

BOTANICAL
Decumbent herb; stems reddish; sap milky. Leaves green
above, whitened below. Flowers all badly wilted (4:00 P.M.
sunny); corolla with white lobes and yellow tube within.
