Flat sandy pastures and roadsides, apparently originally savanna or scrubby woodland; with Acrocomia aculeata, Zanthoxylum rigidum, Celtis ehrenbergiana, Sapium haematospermum, Rhamnidium elaeocarpum. NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN 04195017 ^evs/ yoa^ BOTANICAL Decumbent herb; stems reddish; sap milky. Leaves green above, whitened below.
