The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Apocynaceae Macrosiphonia longiflora (Desf.) Muell. Arg.? det. M. Nee, 1995 Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. Caballero, 3 km. (by dirt road) NE of Abra de Quine ["Quifial" on some maps]. 18°04’S, 64° 19’30"W. alt. 2150-2250 m. Steep slope with outcrops and boulders of soft sandstone, with scattered shrubs but not a woodland, the bottom limit of certain sub-cloud forest species (Ternstroemia asymmetrica, Mauria thaumatophylla, Weinmannia), but above the limit of arid woodland species. Herb, the stems often trailing. Leaves white beneath. Evidently blooming in early morning or at night; most flowers wilting (10:00 A.M., sunny). Corolla limb white with yellow throat. Coll.: M.
