Downstream. 04°18'N, 52°22’W. Elev. 200 to 450 m. Lateritic soil. Tree, 8 m x 10 cm; latex white in all parts; prickles on stem and branches; leaves coriaceous. Wood sample: U, US. Feuillet, C. 10064 14 June 1988 With: the Montagne Tortue expedition members SMITHSONIAN BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY OF THE GUIANAS PROGRAM - U.S. NATIONAL HERBARIUM (US) Feuillet, C. 10064 Bark dark brown rather smooth with protruding large lenticels, to 5 mm thick, wood straw-colored. Calyx pale green, corolla in bud white at apex, pale green at base. Berry globose 15-17 mm diameter, mucronate, pale yellow, immature pale green. ’ ^ Montagne Tortue Expedition Team: C.
