I Uí» The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Meliaceae Trichilia stellatotomentosa Kuntze det. M. Nee, 2011 DEPTO. SANTA cruz, Prov. Ñuflo de Chávez, 10.75 km (by air) S of center of San Julián, 2.3 km NW of junction with main highway from San Ramón to Los Troncos. 17°00’19”S, 62°37’05”W. alt. 250 m. Sparse vegetation of roadside and fencerow, surrounded by completely cleared crop fields or pastures partially cleared from dry forest (almost chaco forest). Rains are late this year and plants are very stressed, especially the ditch with Polygonum hispidum, Eurolepis hecatanthum, Baccharis (no. 58911). Densely branched shrub 1.8 m. tall. Flowers creamy. Compare for the other extreme of leaf size and lack of folding under of the leaflets of the same species collected 30 Dec. 2011 under no. 58885, E of Ascención de Guarayos, in a zone wetter at this time of year and in partial shade.
