Broad ridgetop on shale, heavily grazed, grassy sward and
many shrubs of Baccharis.
Shrub 1.5 m. tall, forming a many-stemmed clump; some old
plants here to 3 m. tall. Fruit green, then nearly black; some
readily falling when the plant pressed and dried.
