road to Masicuri, at top of ridge, just SE of turnoff south to
Khasa Monte.
18°36’11”S, 64°01’54”W. alt. 2405 m.
Sandstone cliffs and slopes, disturbed remnants of brushy
short woods of ridgetop lower edge of cloud forest, with
Podocarpus parlatorei, Clethra, Viburnum, Prunus.
Slender stems, erect, 1.5 m. tall. Phyllaries purple, the open
flowers with very pale purple style branches.
