The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Begoniaceae Begonia cf. pearcei DEPTO. SANTA Cruz, Prov. Vallegrande, 7.7 km (by air), 12.7 km (by road) SE of turnoff at Guadalupe, on gravel road to Masicuri, at top of ridge, just SE of turnoff south to Khasa Monte. 18°36’H”S, 64°01’54”W. alt. 2405 m. Sandstone cliffs and slopes, disturbed remnants of brushy short woods of ridgetop lower edge of cloud forest, with Podocarpus parlatorei, Clethra, Viburnum, Prunus. From a large tuber.
