Acarai Mts., 4 km S of Sipu River, area near camp at base of Acarai Mts. Elevation: 245 m. 1°23'11"N 58°56'47"W. Dense forest on brown sand, with Bertholettia, Eperua & Rinorea. Tree, 20 m; with fenestrate trunk, milky sap in twigs; sepals greenish brown, petals dull white. N.v. (WaiWai) "marashoit". Used as antimalarial and abortifacient. H.D.
