Using the reference map and Google Maps - Satellite View, located Cachoeira Porteira. Located the beginning of road BR-163 very nearby the site of the waterfall. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure 18 km. (18.0006 km.) along BR-163, starting at the beginning of this road at the site of the waterfall towards junction with road BR-210. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates at this location. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) again to find linear extent by measuring from the starting location, beginning of road BR-163, to the farthest extent of the area of the waterfall (confluence of Rio Trombetas and Rio Mapuera). Input coordinates, linear extent (2025.56 m.), measurement error (.01 m.), and distance precision (100 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
