Herbaceous, finely pubescent plant with somewhat woody base, mostly 30-60 cm. tall. Leaves opposite, oblong to obovate, apex rounded, mucronate, petioles about 1 cm. or less long. Flowers solitary or in pairs, axillary, corolla white or rose, tube about 2.5 cm. long. Follicles many-seeded. Introduced ornamental (9934).
