forest on sandy soil, with seasonally inundated
slight depressions with clay soil ("curichis").
Aspidosperma spp., Caesalpinia paraguariensis,
Capparis retusa, Castela coccinea.

Small tree 4.5 m. tall, 15 cm. in diameter; bark
smooth, gray. Fruit green, then brown and opening;
seeds pale tan.
