Subtropical, semi-deciduous "Chaco” forest, 4-8 m.
tall, dense, spiny, briefly inundated in the rainy
season, very flat, the soil fine sandy and silty,
Bumelia obtusifolia, Capparis tweediana, Reichen-
bachia hirsuta.
Shrub 2 m. tall, east end of abandoned agricultural
strip B. A native species which I have not yet seen
in flower or fruit in the Jardin.
