Habitat
With water worn horizontally-bedded sandstone at soil surface, with damp sand, sedge marsh, exposed rock & waterfall. Open scrub to closed low woodland in the drier areas.

Description
Creeping, stoloniferous herb, with long stems rooting at nodes. Leaves aromatic, rather dull green, paler beneath. Calyx and bracteoles purple. Corolla bright, rich dark purple. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
