In secondary forest on sandy loam, with Eperua falcata [Soft wallaba], Dicymbe altsonii [Clump wallaba], Licania spp. Tree, ca. 20 m high. Bark blackish brown, finely longitudinally striate. Trunk deeply fluted over full length. Latex white, sticky, present in all parts. Inner bark yellowish brown. Sapwood light brown, heartwood dark brown. Leaves leathery, shiny above, glaucous below.
