Along road between Valparaiso, Zac., and Huejuquilla el Alto, Jal., which
branches west from road to Mezquitic, Jal., ca. 1 km. south of Valparaiso;
elevation 2000-2400 m.
11-13 miles SW of Valparaiso. Mesa de Cristo,
rocky grassland with scattered oaks, used for
pasture.
Shrub, usually 0.7 m tall, up to 1.0 m. Stems
with milky juice. Common.
