Disturbed grassy roadside through former chaco forest, now mostly cleared for pastures.

  • Description

Usually only single stems and few-branched above, to 2.5 m tall, standing well above the grassy roadside vegetation, not seen in nearby pastures cleared from former continuous chaco forest. A patch of many plants in this area, a few seen scattered elsewhere, obviously at home in stabilized roadside from road construction a few years ago. There are no other collections from Bolivia at NY; could this be introduced? A few pink flowers; fruit abundant, greenish, turning light brown.
