Elevation about 800 feet. Alkaline, moist clay - loam. Mesic to wet prairie remnant; drier ridge with Oenothera, Cirsium, Asclepias syriaca, Euphorbia corollata, Ratibida, Silphium. Flowers white, fruit green, pendulous, immature; stems rose-pink; occasional perennial herb 1 meter tall, leaves pale (?glaucous) beneath; sometimes in colonies. Steven R.
