T.3S., R.2W., NW 1/4 of NW 1/4 of NE 1/4 of NE 1/4 Sect. 2 West side of IL Route 99, 0.7 mile northwest of junction with IL Route 104, at Brown County line, Illinois River floodplain. Elevation 433 feet. Meredosia 7.5 min. quadrangle. Disturbed sandy-loam, moist west-facing slope and level areas. Partial shade, margin of degraded floodplain forest with Morns, Populus, Acer, Viola, Carex molesta, Apocynum, Amorpha fruticosa. Locally common perennial herb 1 meter tall; generally several stemmed, milky sap; flowers pale blue, leaves dark green at base, pale glaucous beneath. Steven R. Hill 34637 28 May 2002 04161138
