Disturbed sandy-loam, moist west-facing slope and
level areas.
Partial shade, margin of degraded floodplain forest with
Morns, Populus, Acer, Viola, Carex molesta,
Apocynum, Amorpha fruticosa. Locally common
perennial herb 1 meter tall; generally several stemmed,
milky sap; flowers pale blue, leaves dark green at base,
pale glaucous beneath.
