Habitat: Secondary forest; remnant of
primary forest. Altitude 600 feet.
Annot. Tree; bole fluted, with four tall,
narrow buttresses along entire length;
height 100 feet, bole 50 feet, d.b.h. 30 ins.
Bark yellowish-grey, deeply fissured on
buttresses; lenticels numerous, large. Blaze
orange, mottled. Wood light yellow. Odour
absent, milky exudate abundant. Leaves
dark green above, glaucous below. Petals
cream. Local name Navulta.
