FLORA OF PHLIPPINES Piper majusculum Blume Piperaceae Climbing vine to 15 m. Leaves dark green above, plae green beneath. Prophylls prominent and often persistent, some harboring ants. Male spikes pendulous white. Growing on dak or partially exposed sites in the forest interior. Climbing stems with wide-ovate leaves which are very different from the elliptic-ovate and much larger leaves on branching stems. Loc: Province of Samar. Mun. Lokilokon. Forest in steep slopes, calcareous rocks with many species of Ficus, Ericaceae hemiparasites and Araliaceae vines. Collectors: M.
