confluence with the Río Saguayo. Tropical
evergreen forest with Iriartea, Socratea, Scheelea
princeps, Jessenia bataua.
17°34’30"S, 63°46’W. alt. 400 m.
Shrub 3 m. tall; branches ± horizontal, common in
secondary growth. Spikes green, hanging, only
ripe spikes now.
