United States of America. New York. Suffolk Co. Long Island: Westhampton, south-west of Exit 63 from Sunrise Highway, on west side of Route 31-S (opposite Water Authority building), a few hundred feet southwest of Sunrise Highway. Elevation near sea level.

Habitat
Edge of Dwarf Pine Barrens. Only 3 plants seen.

Description
Could be a range extension for Long Island, or possibly escaped from cultivation, steril. Also reported in town of Southampton near sandy plains of Long Island Railroad Station outskirts of Sunrise Highway by John Verderber (formerly SUNY-staff, ca. 1984). Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
