Departmento Zelaya, Region Autonmica Atlantica del Norte:
About 2 km southwest of the village of Karata on the south-
eastern shore of Laguna de Karata, at about N13°55'30",
W83°29'00", about 14 air km south-southwest of Puerto
Cabezas, in open pine and palm savanna and adjacent forest
next to a large marsh (“Krukarma”), associated with various
grasses and sedges, scattered remains of forest trees and
numerous shrubs at approximate 4 m elevation.
Shrub to 3.5 m.
