From a clump of palmetto consisting of
c. JO stemsf£c.3.5m tall and 20cm in girth
at breast height. Younger parts of stem
covered by a fibrous mass. Stems showing
charring to c.2.5m above ground level.
In Oak/palmetto savanna on fairly dry soil.
