Collection Notes
"Note: For six years, I have watched this colony thrive and increase. Now, for some reason, this bog is becoming dry and may mean the extinction of th colony. Otherwise, I would not have taken these fruiting specimens, despite the need for such. I have suggested and outlined measures to be taken to transplant some of the plants to other designated areas, as the species is becoming very rare on Island.--Mac. 1964."
