The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Piperaceae Piper amalago L. det. M. Nee, 1994 Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. Ichilo, 2 km. WSW of El Hondo, "Potrerillo". Secondary tropical semi- evergreen forest between buildings and rlo Guendd. 17°40’20"S, 63°27’W. alt. 400 m. Here and in the near vicinity occur Piper amalago, P. tuberculatum, P. longestylosum, P. callosum, P. aduncum, P, heterophyllum, P. dilatatum, P. hispidum, and several other species {P. laevilimbum appears to be absent).
