In forest along ridge; tree, 3-4 m tell, trunk 2-3 cm. diam.
base, «atte dark green, twing subluatrous to lustrous dark green;
leaves ¡thin-coriaceous, with pungent odor, slightly lustrous
dark green above, beneath matte medium green, the midvein
above narrowly prominent and recessed, beneath broadly rounded
prominent; spikes becoming grey.
