Oro settlement on the Río de Oro; ca.9°l8’N,
72°29'W; elev. 100-250 m. Steep, low hills with
primary semi-evergreen forest.
At hase of dripping cliff. Shrub 2 m tall;
spikes erect, greenish; leaves dark shiny
green above, dull medium green "below; the
nerves slightly impressed on upper surface.
