Nee, 1996 Cayo District: Near Ix-Chel Farm, 8 km (by air) S of San Ignacio, west side of the Macal River. Limestone hills with old secondary forest. 17°06’N, 89°04’W. Shrub 2.5 m. tall, with several stems from the base; in roadside brush. Spikes straight, erect, greenish white, at one stage slightly creamish. Growing with P. amalago, P. neesianum, P. jacquemontianum and P. pseudolindenii, and with P. aduncum rare in open brushy roadsides. Coll.: M. Nee 24 May 19& 04129675
