Open areas of white sand surrounded by cerrado vegetation on
higher ground and a dense cover of sedges and grasses in lower
damp depressions.
Shrub 8 dm tall. Corolla magenta. Large anthers red, the small
anthers and appendages yellow. Occasional on white sand.
