Cayo District: Near Ix-Chel Farm, 8 km (by air) S of
San Ignacio, west side of the Macal River. Limestone
hills with old secondary forest. 17°06’N, 89°04’W.
Shrub 4 m. tall, 6 cm. in diameter, with 2 smaller stems
emerging from near the base. Edge of secondary brush,
apparently rare here, but P. pseudofuligineum, P.
neesianum, P. amalago, P. jacquemontianum and P.
pseudolindenii found in and at edges of forest. Spikes
arching at all stages.
