THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN Plants of Peru Piperaceae Peperomia trollii Hutchison & Rauh det. R. Callejas, 1985 Peru. Depto. Amazonas: 13 km NE of Balsas along road to Leimebamba. Elev. ca. 1460 m. Dry, sandstone mountains with cacti & acacia. Ca.6°50'S, 77°55'W. Stem succulent with ± long taproot; odor of anise. Leaves nearly completely conduplicate, flaccid.
