Kuntze, O. 1898. Revisio Generum Plantarum 3(2).
Collection localities in Bolivia from his itinerary on pp. 1-2.
Sierra de Santa Cruz: 14-30 May 1892. This very vague locality
apparently includes the higher areas on the trip from Cochabamba
to Santa Cruz. Most of the mule trail [in parts the same as the
current highway] followed the arid interandean valleys through
Chil6n [17°58’S, 64°40’W], Pulquina, Pampa Grande, Sivingal, and
Samaipata, these mostly at about 1400 m elevation, to Petaca [ca.
18°11 ’S, 63933’W, alt. 720 m] near the eastern limit of the Andes.
Some of the passes on this trail reached 2000 m into more humid
forest. Notes by M. Nee, Jan. 2000.
