Callejas, 1986 Colombia: Choc5: Ansermanuevo-San Jose del Palmar rd., ca. 3-5 km E of San Jose del Palmar; 4°40*N, 76°27'W. Elev. 1341-1450 m. Low montane forest. Terrestrial, succulent herb, growing on rocks along stream. Stems, petioles & lower leaf surface maroon. Inflorescence soli- tary, terminal, green & erect at first, becoming white & translucent.
