Forest of Acer saccharum, Tsuga canadensis, Betula
alleghaniensis, with open understory and a few shrubs of
Lonicera canadensis, Ribes cf. tristis, Rubus parviflora.
Slender shrubs to 1.5 m. tall, to 0.9 cm. in diameter and 10
years old. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw
MADw. Fruit yellow-green.
