Disturbed young woods and edge of old farm road up
narrow valley and open area by parking area along Winkers
Lane, around former farmstead which has been removed
several decades ago. Acer negundo and some rank, weedy
vegetation. With naturalized and spreading Sorbaria
sorbifolia, Hydrangea arborescens.
Partch of many shrubs, to 2.1 m. tall, to 1.4 cm. in diameter, #
seem to attain maximum 3 years old. Voucher for wood
specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, RSAw. Flowers white with
yellow-orange center, with musty fragrance of many
Rosaceae with similar masses of small white flowers.
