The Republic of Georgia, Kazbegi District. Dariali Gorge along
the Georgian Military Highway, north of town of Kazbegi and
south of border with Russian Federation, near opening of valley
leading to Devdoraki Glacier, 42°43.96' N, 44°38.077' E, ca 1467
m. (coordinates and elevation from hand-held GPS, accurate to
within a radius of about 25 m). Juniperus hemisphaerica, Pinus
orientalis, Betula litwinovii and Betula raddeana.
Flowers pink.
