Low campo cerrado on brownish sandy soil.
In a patch of low cerradao.
Tree, 5m tall, 10cm dbh, with regular, spruce-like,
branching pattern and many horizontal lateral
branches to 3m long. Bark fawn, smooth, with
shallow vertical striations. Outer and inner surface
of follicles pinkish red. Seed dark grey, with a
small, waxy, pale grey, aril.
