WISCONSIN: Richland Co., 3 miles SE of Richland Center T 10 N; R 1 E; NWiNWi sec. 36. alt. 250 m. 16726 May 16, 1979 Garden Woody Plants of U. &. A. SAXIFRAGACEAE Ribes missouriense Nutt. Shrub 2 m. tall, heavily pruned by grazing of cattle into a dense rounded clump ca. 3 m. in diameter. This species is very tenacious under heavy grazing pressure and some of these clumps have changed little in size or vigor in the last 25 years. Sepals reflexed, yellow- green, tinged with dark pink; petals and filaments greenish white. Pasture slope, W-facing, full sun, with scattered Zanthoxylum americanum. 03771855
